About The Position

The position is located at Camp SWONEKY in Oregonia, OH, and reports to the Camp Facilities Manager. This is a non-exempt, part-time, temporary role focused on feeding and caring for animals during weekends, holidays, and staff vacations as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Desire to work a hands-on job with a variety of animals.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Feed and care for animals on weekends and holidays as well as during staff vacation days as requested.
• Communicate with the Facilities Manager regarding any issues or emergencies related to the animals.
• Perform work in accordance with sound safety practices.
• Conduct routine safety inspections.
• Represent The Salvation Army in a manner that brings glory to God.
• Assist in every way requested to carry out the spiritual and total mission of The Southwest Ohio & Northeast.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
