About The Position

A Farm Hand will be responsible for supporting daily farm operations to ensure the efficient and sustainable production of crops and livestock. This role involves working closely with the farm team to maintain high standards of agricultural practices and contribute to the overall success of the farm.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar agricultural setting
• Familiarity with farm equipment and machinery maintenance
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects
• Knowledge of basic animal husbandry and crop management practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and supervisors
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Assist with grass hay operations and pasture irrigation.
• Watering, mowing, raking, bailing and stacking hay.
• Tend to farm animals including cattle, horses, bees, chickens.
• Build and maintain fencing.
• Operate and run large equipment including skid steers, tractors and other farm implements.
• Assist in repairing and maintaining farm equipment, buildings, accessory items and tools.
• Apply fertilizer, seed, weed-treatments as needed.
• Mow, blow, clean, trim property lines and fences.
• Snow removal.
• Painting.
