About The Position

We are seeking a Farm Activities Coordinator to support a unique, mission-driven program that combines hands-on farm work with meaningful engagement for adults with developmental disabilities. This role blends agriculture, animal care, and activity leadership, creating a dynamic and rewarding work environment year-round. From April through October, the role is primarily focused on vegetable/plant farming and outdoor work. During the winter months, the focus shifts toward structured, activity-based programming.

Requirements

Hands-on experience working with plants, specifically vegetables/crop production
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (seasonally)
Reliable, consistent, and able to commit year-round (including winter months)
Valid driver’s license (MA, NH, RI) and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

Experience working with small or mixed livestock (goats, chickens, pigs, rabbits, etc.)
Experience leading activities, groups, or programming
Experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

Assist with vegetable farming operations, including planting, weeding, harvesting, and general crop care
Support the care and well-being of small to medium farm animals (e.g., goats, chickens, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs)
Help create and lead engaging activities and programming tailored to individuals’ interests and abilities
Foster a safe, inclusive, and person-centered environment that supports individual goals and dignity
Assist with maintaining farm grounds, supplies, and activity materials
Collaborate with staff and leadership to ensure high-quality programming and care
