Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required with the ability to complete the Family Worker Credential within 18 months of hire. Cost of training is sponsored by Norwescap Head Start
  • Able to reliably commute to Hopatcong, NJ
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds independently without assistance

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or a related field preferred
  • Head start or social service experience
  • 2+ Years of direct experience working with an at-risk population preferred

Responsibilities

  • Attend recruitment events, including but not limited to, nights and weekends
  • Perform multiple, and timely computer and data entry tasks
  • Build family partnerships to assess family needs
  • Connect families to local resources that support family sufficiency
  • Conduct home visits in conjunction with education staff as social service needs arise
