Family Wellness Supervisor on Duty

About The Position

The Supervisor on Duty delivers and assures excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. You will respond to member and guest needs, promote memberships and programs and monitor the facility to enforce guidelines among members, guests, program participants and staff. This job is located at the Family Wellness facility at 2700 46th Ave SE in Mandan. Monitors the entire facility including the Wellness Center, gyms, tracks, hallways, locker rooms and Member Services desk areas. Enforces building rules and member code of conduct. Addresses incidents or violations immediately, in an assertive, yet professional and courteous manner. Assures that service and program areas are properly staffed and that they are providing excellent customer service, completing their job duties, and holding them accountable for following guidelines and policies. If a problem with staffing arises, addresses and resolves the situation as much as possible and contacts the Family Wellness Director if needed. Prior to closing time, assures that the closing procedures are completed. Secures the building by checking all outside doors to make sure they are locked. Walks through the facility to assure that everyone is out, towels, balls and garbage, etc. is picked up, final laundry loads are complete, all lights are turned off and cash drawers are closed out properly. Welcomes members and guests with a warm smile, using their names, and expressing gratitude for their patronage. Asks questions, using active listening and provides facility tours to help prospective members find the perfect membership and program options. Builds relationships with members, fostering connections within our Family Wellness and YMCA community. Utilizes our operations software for member check-ins, program and membership registration, and payment processing. Stays knowledgeable about all Family Wellness and YMCA programs and services to assist members effectively. Has working knowledge of all emergency procedures, understands the Supervisor on Duty's role during an emergency, and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with policies and procedures. Completes related incident reports as required. Part Time Shifts Available: Tuesday & Friday: 3:30 pm-7:30 pm Saturday & Sunday: 11:30 am-3:30 pm You'll enjoy a fun, flexible, rewarding work environment and FREE YMCA & Family Wellness Membership!

Requirements

  • We are looking for someone who displays the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
  • Previous customer service, sales or related experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills required.
  • Must have the ability to effectively address issues and enforce guidelines and relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • Basic knowledge of using computers required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of supervisory and/or staff training experience preferred.
