The Family Wellness Fitness Associate engages and inspires members by providing a high level of customer service in the Wellness Center (strength & cardio exercise area). They promote wellness and member engagement in accordance with policies and procedures. This job is located at the at the Family Wellness facility at 2700 46th Ave. SE in Mandan.
Requirements
- We are looking for someone who displays the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
- Must possess adequate knowledge of strength and cardio equipment including proper use, benefits, and cautions.
- Ability to work independently as well as display excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills required.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of and experience with fitness preferred.
- Previous customer service or related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Warmly and enthusiastically greets Wellness Center users by name with eye contact and a smile.
- Schedules and conducts Wellness Center orientation appointments with members.
- Responds promptly and courteously to all member inquiries.
- Anticipates member needs and proactively approaches them.
- Understands and is able to professionally conduct user interviews, guiding new members to the appropriate support programs and services.
- Maintains current knowledge of all fitness equipment in the Wellness Center including use, maintenance and how to instruct on all Strength and Cardio equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness throughout the Wellness Center by performing light cleaning duties, including lifting weight plates to put them away.
- Keeps towels and wipes stocked.
- Reports equipment/facility problems immediately.
- Takes a proactive role in problem solving issues regarding members by enforcing all rules and guidelines.
- Applies all policies dealing with member services and facility safety/emergency response.
