The Midland Division Salvation Army Midtown Service and Treatment Center is looking for someone who like to make a difference in the lives of families who are dealing with substance abuse. We are seeking a candidate to fill the role of Family Therapist at our Midtown Service and Treatment Center. This position is expected to advance and support the Mission of The Salvation Army. Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Family Therapist will proactively provide planned, face-to-face, goal-oriented therapeutic interactions as a qualified individual with the clients and one or more members of the client's family to resolve and address the family system's dysfunction as it relates to the client's substance use disorder in accordance with the client's rehabilitation plan. May also provide individual counseling for the family/support system of clients to facilitate the development of a healthy support system. Responsibilities include assessment, intervention, treatment planning, education, counseling and referrals for clients and their families. This position will provide individual, group and family counseling. The position will also provide prevention, education, and training services.
