About The Position

The Family Team Staffing Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading prevention/diversion staffings and meetings to ensure they are productive, inclusive, and outcome-driven. This role ensures that staffings/meetings adhere to established policy,  organizational objectives, and professional standards. The facilitator guides discussions, manages time effectively, maintains neutrality, and documents key outcomes and action items that support children and families from entering the formal system of care. This position directly supports the Child Protective Investigations (CPI) team by taking referrals and conducting or participating in Local Review Team (LRT) staffings to support the CPI team with diverting families from entering the formal system of care when youth can remain safely in their homes with appropriate service coordination.

Requirements

  • Highly organized and efficient with time management
  • Experience with FSFN and other child welfare related systems
  • Proficiency in Excel

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the LRT staffing/meeting, which includes: Open staffing/meeting with introductions and purpose, track attendance, review objectives, and outline participation guidelines. Guide discussions in a structured, inclusive, and time-efficient manner. Ensure all participants have an opportunity to contribute while maintaining focus on agenda topics. Manage conflicts or differing viewpoints constructively. Maintain neutrality and uphold the integrity of the decision-making process.
  • Conduct Local Review Team pre-staffing/meeting preparation including: Coordination of the staffing schedule to ensure maximum participation and invitation of all appropriate parties. Prepare, review and distribute background materials to in advance, if appropriate and in compliance with policy.
  • Document written summaries of each staffing/meeting, inclusive of action items and upload into appropriate system as required.
  • Ensure post-staffing/meeting follow up inclusive of: obtaining updates on action items, monitoring outcomes, and data collection.
  • At the request of the Director of Partnerships & Prevention or Executive Leadership, assist Community Development Administrators in researching cases for specialized case reviews on high-profile or high needs cases, identifying case-specific, service-specific, and systemic challenges that must be addressed to drive meaningful change
  • Other duties as assigned
