About The Position
The Family Support Worker at Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) plays a crucial role in the prevention of child abuse and neglect among at-risk families. This position is dedicated to providing essential modeling techniques, education, and supportive services to empower families and ensure the well-being of children. Providing appropriate modeling techniques and education as outlined in service plans is a key responsibility, along with assisting case managers, counselors, or social workers in delivering case management support services. The Family Support Worker will also facilitate educational classes, supervise children during visits, and participate in weekly client staff meetings. Moreover, the Family Support Worker is expected to contribute to a positive and engaging work environment by staying informed about dependency-related issues and trends, participating in departmental meetings, and complying with CHS's code of conduct and legal obligations.
