About The Position

This position involves engaging families through home visits and developing relationships based on a strength-based model. The role includes introducing and leading parent-child activities that support healthy attachment and foster optimal child development. Daily support and crisis management skills will be provided to families, and the candidate will partner with families to create a plan with attainable goals to enhance parent and child well-being. The position requires maintaining thorough written records of home visits, family goals, and all required documentation, as well as managing a caseload consistent with program requirements and meeting Healthy Families New York Performance Targets. Participation in staff meetings, case conferences, training seminars, and individual supervisory meetings is expected. Some travel for training within New York State may be required, which may include overnight stays. The candidate must be able to keep a flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in providing support and crisis management skills to families.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain thorough written records and documentation.
  • Ability to manage a caseload consistent with program requirements.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
