The Family Support Worker at One More Child plays a crucial role in serving at-risk families within the community through the Family Support Program. This position is designed to assist families by engaging them in services offered through the Compassion Center, linking them to essential community resources, and facilitating evidence-based interventions aimed at enhancing the safety, permanency, and well-being of children and families. The Family Support Worker will maintain a caseload of 10-12 families, ensuring that they do not exceed 15, and will engage these families in various services, including Family Check Up, Everyday Parenting, Motivational Interviewing, and Parent Café. Regular contact with families is essential, with weekly or bi-weekly interactions conducted through home visits, office visits, phone calls, or other forms of correspondence. In addition to direct engagement with families, the Family Support Worker will collaborate with families to develop and monitor individualized family service plans based on thorough assessments. This role also involves assisting families in completing outlined tasks and goals, linking them to community resources to address identified barriers, and helping them acquire tangible resources from the Compassion Center. The Family Support Worker will meet regularly with the Family Support Supervisor for case reviews, training, professional development, and program development. Timely and accurate completion of data entry and required documentation is also a critical function of this role, along with participation in continuing education opportunities such as agency training, professional seminars, workshops, and conferences. Other assignments may be given as needed by the Family Support Supervisor.
