About The Position

As a Family Support Specialist (FSS), you will make regular home visits and carry a caseload of families enrolled in the Help Me Grow program. You will give home education according to the Growing Great Kids curriculum. You will file mandated reports of abuse concerns with local Child Services and document observations in progress notes. The FSS will connect families to relevant resources and ensure continuity of care and education. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office Word, great oral and written skills required.
  • Must possess a friendly, nonjudgmental people-oriented disposition.
  • Must be good with time management, flexible, dependable and have knowledge of infant and child development.
  • Time management, self-starter, and independent working skills highly desirable.
  • 1 year in home visiting or early childhood related field.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and auto insurance
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
  • Microsoft Office Word and Excel highly desirable; great oral and written skills, must possess a friendly, non-judgmental people-oriented disposition.
  • Must be flexible, dependable and have knowledge of infant and child development.
  • Time management, self-starter, and independent working skills highly desirable.
  • 2+ years in home visiting or early childhood related field.
  • Social Work license, Teaching License, or any related licensure.
  • Infant/toddler CDA, Home Visitor CDA, Early Childhood Home Visitor Credential.
