About The Position

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and prioritize requests for service.
  • Supervise visitations between parents and their children in various settings to monitor safety.
  • Provide supportive coaching and feedback to family members during visitations.
  • Manage crisis situations during family interactions.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Family Interaction Plans.
  • Provide client transportation as needed.
  • Conduct unannounced home visits to monitor in-home safety plans.
  • Testify in court when necessary and make recommendations regarding client needs and risks.
  • Evaluate client requests and distribute intake information to appropriate units.
  • Complete supplemental documentation for client services, including applications and forms.
  • Maintain knowledge of current Human Services Department and community programs.
  • Assist CPS families in obtaining housing and employment.
  • Provide strength-based parent education and life skills training.
  • Advocate for families regarding needed benefits and services.
  • Act as a liaison between the Human Services Department and the community.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate case documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development.
  • Complete WiSACWIS enrollment and training.
  • Participate in statewide advisory committees.
  • Assist in placing children in alternate care settings.
  • Ensure compliance with car seat safety requirements.
  • Update resource information.
