About The Position
The Kentucky Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) is a multi-faceted agency that provides services and programs to enhance the self-sufficiency of families; improve safety and permanency for children and vulnerable adults; and engage families and community partners in a collaborative decision-making process. DCBS is searching for a Family Support Specialist III who is highly skilled and motivated to help others. This includes providing professional services directly to the public in reviewing, monitoring, and determining eligibility for assistance programs. The Family Support Specialist III will also serve as a mentor and support for new staff, providing policy and procedure guidance on a daily basis. Attention to detail, experience communicating with the public, and the ability to create and utilize reports to track deadlines are all skills necessary for this position. The Family Support Specialist III is a demanding and rewarding position that requires leadership, maturity, and a strong knowledge of policy.
