Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a case manager or in direct practice with low-income households.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile availability for work use.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse communities.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Advanced Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Independent and proactive work ethic with strong team collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Health services experience is a plus.
  • Experience in financial management and goal-setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake and assessments for residents in the family support program.
  • Collaborate with families to develop personalized Development Plans.
  • Assist families in accessing social services and advocate for their needs.
  • Track resident data in USI's 'LEARN' system while ensuring privacy.
  • Attend community and program-related meetings as required.
  • Travel to various locations for resident information gathering, up to 25%.
  • Provide resources and knowledge for clients to access financial capital, including loans.
  • Offer consultation services in financial management and goal-setting.
  • Host in-person and virtual seminars for clients on financial literacy and capital access.
  • Support the development of the USI CDFI client base.
