Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related social services field
  • 2+ years of experience in a social service or case management role
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to pass background check, pre-employment drug screening, and physical
  • Minimum age 21 years old

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and support foster families through presentations, focus groups, and one-on-one engagement
  • Partner with local churches, schools, and community groups to raise awareness
  • Provide ongoing case management and support to families not to exceed 22 foster homes and 20 foster children
  • Act as a liaison with DHS and ensure all licensing and documentation requirements are met
  • Travel within your assigned region (approx. 25% of the time) using your personal vehicle
  • Collaborate with a passionate team of child advocates
  • Attend monthly in person home visits done (daytime and evenings) in coordination of the foster families’ schedules.
  • Maintain case file records for both foster children and foster homes with compliance in all areas.
  • Attend placements of children in foster homes including evenings and weekends.
  • Attend family meetings and serve in an interdisciplinary role working with DHS case workers and other professionals involved in the case.
  • Assist foster parents in writing court reports and attend court hearings to advocate for the child and the foster parents.
