JOIN OUR TEAM AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!“Action Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing pathways to economic stability in Southwest Montana through innovative, community-based, collaborative approaches.” Family Services CoordinatorHead Start Program Employment/FLSA Status: Full-Time/Non-Exempt Position Summary: The Family Services Coordinator (FSC) oversees student enrollment and develops processes that ensure eligible families have equitable access to the Head Start program. The FSC is responsible for implementing and sustaining family engagement services in alignment with Head Start Performance Standards, with a focus on building trust and fostering meaningful relationships with families. This position leads community outreach efforts that support the successful recruitment and enrollment of eligible children. Responsibilities include developing positive family partnerships, identifying and assessing family needs, and applying a consistent, trauma-informed approach to engagement. The FSC provides case management for an assigned caseload, connecting families with appropriate resources and supporting them in achieving educational, personal, social, health, and vocational goals. This role requires a strong commitment to creating a supportive early childhood environment and building collaborative, respectful partnerships with parents and caregivers. All duties are carried out in alignment with the core values of Action Inc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Development, Family Services, or a related field; willingness to obtain Family Service Credentials is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with at-risk children and families.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use software and data systems related to program implementation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a data-driven approach to work.
  • Positive attitude, high energy, and commitment to the mission of Action Inc.'s Head Start program.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and courteously with staff, children, families, and community partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
  • Must be bondable and insurable.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
