About The Position
As a Family Services Coordinator (FSC) at New England Donor Services (NEDS), you will provide support and guidance to family members of trauma patients regarding end-of-life decision options, including organ and tissue donation. The FSC is an empathetic and skilled professional dedicated to the mission of saving and enhancing lives through organ and tissue donation. You will assist hospitals year-round to support collaborative donation processes, ensuring that all potential donor families are offered the opportunity for donation. The role requires fulfilling an on-call schedule, responding to new and open referrals in hospitals, and advocating for donation while respecting cultural and religious beliefs. You will also maintain documentation regarding approach and authorization, provide follow-up to donor families, and participate in required meetings and trainings.
