About The Position

The Family Service Coordinator plays a crucial role in coordinating services for children and their foster families, ensuring their safety, permanency, and well-being. This position involves extensive driving and requires a strong commitment to providing support and crisis intervention in a culturally sensitive manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in an area licensable by the Kansas BSRB.
• Two years' experience with children and family services required.
• Current, valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance required.
• Licensure by the Kansas BSRB is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services for children and their foster families to ensure safety, permanency, and well-being.
• Conduct recruitment, MAPP training, licensing, re-licensing, and ongoing support for foster homes.
• Perform home visits and provide 24-hour on-call crisis intervention.
• Attend case meetings, court hearings, and school conferences.
• Ensure compliance with performance expectations, timelines, and legal requirements.
• Provide direct support and crisis response to families.
• Complete required paperwork promptly and supervise interns.
• Report signs of abuse/neglect and participate in service development.
