About The Position

Neighborhood Health is an innovative network of 12 community health centers in Nashville, Gallatin, and Lebanon Tennessee. We provide comprehensive primary care, integrated behavioral health, and dental services to almost 30,000 patients. Our patients primarily include immigrants, residents of public housing, individuals experiencing homelessness, and persons living with addiction. As a federally qualified health center, we provide care without regard to health insurance or a patient's ability to pay. We also strive to improve our Patient Centered Medical Home model to ensure all patients get the right high-quality care, at the right place and the right time. The Physician/Provider is responsible for the provision of health care services to patients who receive their care at Neighborhood Health clinics. Such care may involve ambulatory services, night call care, hospital care and other as specified by NH. The Physician/Provider is expected to participate in quality assurance activity, member satisfaction, appropriate utilization of health care resources, electronic health record use and team meetings. The Physician/Provider supports the Neighborhood Health mission to assure access of the underserved to healthcare, to engage patients in a meaningful healthcare experience through the patient-centered health home model, to provide high quality healthcare and to participate in controlling the cost of such care. The Physician/Provider supports integrated healthcare involving behavioral health providers and dental health providers in care as appropriate. The Physician/Provider will achieve meaningful use of electronic health records each year as the standards are updated and expanded by the federal government.

Requirements

  • Medical education in a primary care specialty.
  • Certification/Licensure as required by specialty.
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee as appropriate, DEA.
  • Board certified in specialty which may be obtained within two years of employment.
  • Maintain basic life support certifications.
  • Current continuing medical education and requirements for privileging.
  • MAT certified and experience preferred, but not required.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred, but not required.
  • 1 to 2 years experience as Physician preferred.
