About The Position

Crossing Rivers Health is seeking a Family Practice Physician with Obstetrics (FPOB) skills to join our newly constructed Primary Care Clinic in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. This role involves providing comprehensive medical care to patients, with a focus on both independent and collaborative practice within a supportive healthcare team. The position emphasizes strong diagnostic and treatment skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, in a quality-focused, patient-centered environment.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. required.
• Board Certified in Family Medicine or must obtain Board Certification within 3 years of residency completion.
• Current D.E.A. Certification.
• Ability to obtain full, unrestricted Wisconsin Medical License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Life Support Obstetrics (ALSO), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required (training provided onsite).
• Successful completion of an approved residency training program in family medicine.
• Documentation of 3-4 months obstetrical rotation during family practice residency, with 50 patients delivered.
• Ability and willingness to perform C-Sections is strongly desired.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
• Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record system.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to patients in a primary care setting.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members.
• Participate in OB and newborn care, sharing call rotation with other physicians and nurse midwives.
• Engage in administrative tasks one day a week.
• Utilize EPIC Electronic Health Record for patient documentation.
