About The Position

The Family Practice Physician (FPP) will provide comprehensive clinical and medical care at a primary and secondary level in the specialty of Family Practice in an outpatient setting. The FPP will collaborate with the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Physicians, and other health professionals to provide a broad range of health care to the Bad River Community. The FPP will supervise the Clinic RN, the FNP, Laboratory Technician, Pharmacist, and Medical Assistant. Additionally, the FPP will serve as a medical consultant to the Clinic Administrator, Health Director, health Board, Tribal Council, and various health programs. The FPP is responsible for positive representation of the Clinic, exemplifying a personal conduct and management style which reflects an appropriate role model. The FPP will demonstrate tact, courtesy, and a positive approach to communication and interaction with other employees, visitors, physicians, and clients. The FPP will be responsible for communications with the Clinic to ensure that information is shared for effective operations and will work in cooperation with AODA and Behavioral Health services. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited member of the Association of American Colleges with a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Wisconsin or eligible to hold/obtain a license.
  • Completion of residency in Family Practice preferred.
  • Board certified preferred.
