About The Position

As a Family Medicine Physician with Golden Valley Health Centers , you would make a lasting difference in the lives of Central Valley communities! Our physicians provide comprehensive, high-quality primary care to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults. You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, provide preventative care, perform office-based procedures, and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative team environment. Family Medicine Physicians also provide gynecologic care, manage complex medical conditions, assess and stabilize emergent situations consistent with policy, and supervise Advanced Practice Providers within the practice. Location and Schedule: This position will work at our West Turlock Clinic in Turlock, CA within Stanislaus County . Flexibility to work five (5) eight (8) hour days or four (4) ten (10) hour days. Physicians provide direct outpatient care and may be scheduled for additional shifts as available. Compensation: $240,000 – $275,000 Annual Salary, Sign-On Bonus, and Relocation Assistance Eligible. Provider Productivity Incentive Plan and extra shifts available. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited residency training program with Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Family Medicine.
  • New graduates welcome to apply.
  • Valid California Medical License.
  • DEA Certificate and current CPR certification.
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with Board Certification required within three (3) years of employment.
  • Must be able to clear credentialing and obtain privileges as required

Responsibilities

  • Consistently adheres to GVHC’s communication guidelines and expectations with patients, peers, and supervisors.
  • Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation for a wide variety of illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.
  • Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
  • Provide preventative care including screenings, immunizations, and counseling.
  • Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with policy.
  • Provide gynecologic care including evaluation and treatment of conditions affecting the female reproductive system.
  • Perform office-based procedures including minor surgical procedures, biopsies, incision and drainage, suturing, and other procedures consistent with training and privileges.
  • Manage uncomplicated fractures, dislocations, wounds, and minor burns.
  • Perform local anesthetic techniques, nerve blocks, and diagnostic procedures as appropriate.
  • Provide direct supervision to Advanced Practice Providers including development of work agreements and protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and staff performance improvement activities.
  • Attend and participate in Medical Staff meetings and assigned committees.
  • Maintain compliance with GVHC personnel policies, clinical protocols, and Principles of Practice.
