About The Position

The Family Partner position at Riverside Community Care is designed for individuals with lived experience raising a child with behavioral or developmental support needs. This part-time role involves providing support to parents during psychiatric emergency assessments and helping them navigate the mental health system. Family Partners will collaborate with clinicians to stabilize youth in crisis and will work primarily out of the Norwood, MA office while traveling to local community locations.

Requirements

• Must have lived experience raising a child with behavioral or developmental support needs.
• Experience navigating the special education, DCF, DMH, DDS, or mental health service delivery system.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree with one year working with youth preferred.
• High School/GED with two years working with the target population considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to parents during psychiatric emergency assessments of their children.
• Collaborate with Master's level clinicians to intervene and stabilize youth in crisis.
• Help parents or guardians navigate the mental health system and direct them through each step of the process.
