We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Family Office Associate to join our team, reporting to a Family Office Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 2+ years’ accounting experience focusing on A/P, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations and Data Entry
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups)
  • Expeditious and accurate data entry skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter; independent worker
  • Able to communicate well (both verbal and written) and build relationships within teams
  • Possesses core self-management skills: time management, organization, prioritization, resourcefulness, problem-solving
  • Detail oriented, Intelligent; Inquisitive
  • Exhibits accountability and ownership
  • Strive for continuous improvement
  • Experience with MS Dynamics, NetSuite, and/or SalesForce
  • Family Office Experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

  • Must be willing to execute Corient’s Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, which require, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality, and non-disclosure.

Responsibilities

  • Performing basic bookkeeping functions on a daily, weekly, monthly basis; including:
  • Creating new vendors
  • Recording vendor invoices in the general ledger as accounts payable
  • Prepare payments (checks, ACH, wires) of vendor invoices and submit for review
  • Recording cash movement transactions from financial institutions
  • Record purchase of assets, capital improvements,
  • Prepare journal entries for payroll, accruals and prepaid expenses
  • Credit card statement processing – system input and review of supporting documentation
  • Meticulous maintenance of client files/records in shared network folders
  • Daily tracking and following up on transactions, including vendor maintenance
  • Completing vendor, credit and other applications on behalf of clients
  • Requesting completed W9 and NDA forms from vendors
  • Communicating with vendors and following up on inquiries
  • Processing 1099s
  • Collecting invoices for annual sales tax return
  • Responding promptly to client’s various requests
  • Familiarity with financial statements
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting
