About The Position
We are searching for a Nurse Practitioner -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will work under the supervision of the site physician(s) and work collaboratively with other members of the health care team to render age-appropriate care. Practicing under established protocols, the NP assumes independent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of treatment and procedures. This is a PRN position
Requirements
- Master’s degree in nursing required
- RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing licensure Compact required
- FNP certification from the Texas Board of Nursing required
- BLS or PALS certification from the American Heart Association required
Responsibilities
- Works independently to assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients, consulting with physician as needed
- Documents information in patient’s chart regarding assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education
- Provides verbal and/or written information regarding treatment regimens in language that is understandable and appropriate for the patient and/or caregiver
- Records diagnosis/CPT in an accurate, timely manner to ensure prompt posting of charges per site protocol
- Participates in site meetings and provides input to address patient care issues or operational concerns

- Demonstrates service philosophies to patients and families
