About The Position

We are seeking a part-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide medical coverage for patients in Detox and Residential Substance Use Treatment programs. This role supports onsite medical evaluations, urgent medical concerns, admissions‑related assessments, and on call for emergencies only. _____________ WHY JOIN IPC? Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), experienced in detox, residential, addiction medicine, urgent care, or primary care preferred.
  • Active Unrestricted License in the State of Kentucky.
  • Ability to practice autonomously within KY’s collaborative agreement rules.
  • Strong clinical skills with a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical evaluations and treatment of SUD patients at facility under the supervision of the Medical Director for a residential setting.
  • Work collaboratively with the medical and clinical staff in place for ongoing support.
  • Backup support to the primary onsite FNP.
  • Part-time, Coverage for 1–2 days per week as needed based need if primary FNP is out .
  • Ability to come onsite for intakes on non scheduled days as needed (usually rare).
  • Complete History & Physicals (H&Ps) within a required 72‑hour regulatory window.
  • Provide medical consults and document findings in the EMR.
  • Assess and manage acute and chronic medical conditions for adult patients.
  • Order and interpret labs, diagnostics, and medications.
  • Respond to occasional after‑hours medical calls.
  • Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation.
