Marana Health is seeking a Staff & Family Nurse Practitioner – Family Practice (FNP). The Nurse Practitioner – Family Practice promotes and maintains patients’ health by providing medical services to all age groups to the extent which licensed and/or certified. The FNP uses independent judgment in carrying out daily job responsibilities. The position will be supervised by the Chief Clinical Officer. Marana Health is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 10 sites in Tucson and Pima County. Our mission is to improve our Community by providing exceptional, whole-person healthcare. The following qualifications are required: Family Nurse Practitioner master’s degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice, with active license to practice in Arizona required, combined with at least 3 years' of recent Primary Care or Family Practice experience. Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (or ability to obtain upon hire) Candidate without the MSN, but whose Nurse Practitioner certification is current and was grandfathered-in prior to the Master’s degree becoming a requirement for the credential will be considered if they also have required hands-on experience. Travel: This position will provide primary care services for internal staff and their family members only. Coverage will be assigned prior to start. The following qualifications are preferred: Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or Primary Health Care environment preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if applicable and must be directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required to successfully perform the job. The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Ability to effectively present and document information for patient population. Able to respond to questions from leadership, providers, managers, and members of the healthcare team. Must have sensitivity to low income and ethnic minority community.Ability to quickly assimilate, assess and act on upon new concepts, trends, and initiatives. Exhibit strong customer service skills. Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner in a variety of settings, meet people with diplomacy and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to make decisions in line with state and federal regulations. Ability to read, comprehend, and analyze documents, regulations, and policies. Ability to prepare and submit complete and succinct documentation necessary to the job.
