We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive care, health education, and management of chronic conditions. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in various settings.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic
  • Experience with critical care, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and family planning.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems.
  • Knowledge of pain management techniques including acute pain management and behavioral health.
  • Ability to perform advanced procedures such as spinal taps, cardiac catheterization, and esthetic laser treatments.
  • Strong understanding of infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and senior care practices.
  • Experience in triage processes, case management, discharge planning, and utilization review.
  • Competence in administering injections, phlebotomy techniques, specimen collection/processing.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as well as medical terminology relevant to patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, and catheterization.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret results from medical imaging and laboratory tests.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions in various settings including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and home care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed.
