About The Position

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare, Inc is creating a new service line to help supply high quality primary medical care and support to our clients. We are looking for a seasoned part-time Family Nurse Practitioner who shares our passion and can partner with us as we develop this new division of care designed to address the immediate primary healthcare needs of our clients. WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR? Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, promoting health, providing disease prevention, diagnoses and treatments. Communicates with patients regarding test results, follow-up care, and additional information. Supports integrated healthcare involving Southwestern’s behavioral health providers. Consults with psychiatrists, patients, their families, other medical professionals, and appropriate professional personnel to interpret clinical findings when necessary. Writes prescriptions and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols and available equipment. Explains medication effects and side-effects to patients. Participates in quality assurance and improvement activities. Provides services under the direction and supervision of assigned primary care physician (collaborative agreement.) Helps to develop new model of care within Southwestern’s family of services. Other duties: Completes documentation and billing according to Southwestern policies and procedures. Obtains and maintains certification for all billing services when eligible. Qualifications WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION? Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program required. Valid, current registration / license in Nursing by the State of Indiana required. Must have prescriptive authority including DEA licensure by the state of Indiana. Solid clinical and leadership capabilities. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and problem- solving skills required. Experience with MS Office applications. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program required.
  • Valid, current registration / license in Nursing by the State of Indiana required.
  • Must have prescriptive authority including DEA licensure by the state of Indiana.
