About The Position

HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their medical team. This role involves providing comprehensive healthcare services, including adult and pediatric care, health education, and treatment for various medical conditions. The FNP will be responsible for clinical, administrative, and operational functions, ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Satisfactory completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program resulting in a Master's Degree.
• 1-2 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current CPR certification at the healthcare provider level.
• Current DEA certificate to write prescriptions for controlled substances.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish and Portuguese.
• Experience in a community health center setting.

Responsibilities

• Obtain histories and physical examination information from patients and other sources to make diagnoses.
• Conduct screenings and various diagnostic tests as needed.
• Interpret results of diagnostic testing and provide feedback to patients and/or family members.
• Prescribe treatment modalities, including medications, injections, and wellness counseling.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
• Consult and collaborate with healthcare professionals and make referrals as necessary.
• Educate patients regarding their care, diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and prognosis.
• Facilitate patient participation in healthcare decisions and promote health maintenance.
• See adults and children for acute and chronic care, including well-child exams and women's health care.
