About The Position

MFM Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our new Express Care team in Middleton, MA. This full-time role is focused on delivering same-day care for urgent but non-emergent medical needs. Candidates must be committed to providing timely, high-quality care with compassion and clinical excellence. At least 2 years of experience as a NP or PA is required. This position requires two weekends per month with corelated days off. Total hours worked per week will be 38-40. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
  • Valid Massachusetts licensure and board certification as an FNP or PA all ages.
  • Valid Federal DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR).
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat acute conditions such as upper respiratory infections, minor injuries, rashes, UTIs, gastrointestinal complaints, and other common urgent care needs.
  • Perform focused physical exams and medical histories.
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
  • Document all care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
  • Ensure patient safety, satisfaction, and continuity of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams.
  • Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
