About The Position

Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility. As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we will serve up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units when we continue to open in 2025. We believe that caring, dedicated and valued staff provide exceptional patient care. We are seeking high caliber applicants that will provide innovative and evidence-based care focused on our patient’s individual needs, comfort and safety. Thank you for considering our Family Nurse Practitioner position as we continue on the success of our initial opening! The FNP serves as an advanced practice nurse in the area of family or adult nursing working in direct patient care activities. Direct care functions include providing physical assessments, ordering labs, and other services. Indirect care functions include assuming role as a researcher, consultant, liaison, and educator. Prescriptive authority is accomplished through collaboration with a physician.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in the State of Michigan.
• Holding an active Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner Specialty License.
• Must meet and maintain credentialing requirements and maintain membership to Southridge Behavioral Hospital's Medical Staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care activities including physical assessments and ordering labs.
• Assume roles as a researcher, consultant, liaison, and educator.
• Collaborate with a physician for prescriptive authority.
