About The Position

The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join its Department of Family and Community Health. The role involves developing, teaching, organizing, and evaluating evidence-based practice courses across various nursing programs, as well as participating in scholarship and service activities. The faculty member will contribute to both didactic and clinical courses for the FNP-DNP program, supporting the education of over 2,500 students in a highly ranked nursing school.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field.
• Current license to practice nursing in Maryland required.
• FNP board certification.
• Experience as an FNP preferred.
• Prior academic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruction in the evidence-based practice courses in the baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral programs and the FNP-DNP didactic and clinical courses.
• Advise students.
• Maintain an active program of Scholarship.
• Participate in faculty governance.
• Provide service to the school, university, and profession.
