Requirements

  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Licensure: Active New York State medical license (or eligibility).
  • Certification: Board Certified in Family Medicine (Required).
  • Experience: Experience treating pediatric and adult patients; experience in basic women's health and sexual wellness.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Ability to perform procedures confidently, including suturing, basic life support (BLS), and patient assessments.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, patient-centered approach, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems (supported by human and AI scribe technology).

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care to patients ages 2 and older, including children, adults, and families, in an outpatient setting.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate follow-up.
  • Perform preventive care services, including annual physicals, health screenings, immunizations, and wellness counseling.
  • Deliver basic women’s health services, including routine gynecologic care, contraceptive counseling, and sexual wellness evaluations.
  • Address sexual health and wellness concerns with a patient-centered, confidential, and culturally sensitive approach.
  • Develop long-term therapeutic relationships with patients and families to promote overall health and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate closely with in-house specialists and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
  • Utilize EHR systems efficiently with the support of human scribes and AI scribe technology to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Adhere to clinical best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements at the state and federal levels.
