About The Position

Tacoma Emergency Care Physicians (TECP) is a physician-owned, democratic group providing the highest quality emergency care in the Pacific Northwest. We are looking for a board certified or board eligible Family Medicine Physician to join our growing team! The Role: You will work alongside experienced Emergency Physicians and experienced Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Providers to provide excellent patient care at the MultiCare Federal Way Emergency Department. You will focus primarily on low acuity chief complaints, but will not be specifically limited in the patients you pick up. Your expertise managing pediatric patients will allow you to deliver high quality care to our many young patients. Qualifications: The ideal applicant possesses the following characteristics: Self-motivated to learn and grow in an ever-changing practice environment Communicates effectively with staff and colleagues to optimize emergency department flow Has experience working in urgent care or emergency medicine Adapts to the needs of a busy emergency department Proficiently performs simple procedures such as laceration repairs, abscess I&D, etc… Confidently manages wide variety of lower acuity pediatric and adult cases Efficiently manages time on shift to see patients quickly in a fast-paced environment Shift Structure: Options for both full time and part time. Full time is 120-hours per month. Mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts. Mix of day and swing shifts, though will skew predominantly toward swing shift. Part time availability is flexible, but minimum of 4 shifts per month is requested. Compensation: Compensation package is $140/hour base rate with opportunities to earn up to $160/hour for meeting thresholds of productivity. Medical Malpractice insurance coverage (occurrence based). Full time employees also receive: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, Short Term Disability insurance is offered to employees at no cost; with the option to purchase additional coverage for spouse, dependents, or family.
