About The Position

MercyOne Forest Park Family Medicine is a busy practice with instant volume. The position involves joining a team of 7 Physicians and 1 PA, focusing on traditional outpatient family medicine with minimal call (phone only, on a 1/9 rotation). The practice is located adjacent to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital recognized as a Top 100 Hospital nationally, providing easy access to all specialists, lab, radiology, pharmacy, and many other services. The MercyOne Medical Group in North Iowa offers a $100,000 sign-on bonus, highly competitive compensation, and a full benefits package, including paid malpractice and tail coverage, with benefits starting on day 1 of employment. The regional health system covers 15 counties and includes MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, eight critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics in northern Iowa and southern Minnesota, serving a network service area of approximately 260,000. The first rural health system to implement a fully integrated EMR.

Requirements

• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required.
• Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program.
• Board certified or board eligible.
• Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
• Above average communication skills.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license.
• Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
