About The Position
We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, seeking a full-time Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician to join our progressive, multi-specialty group. Our organization encompasses Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health services throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population in our outpatient primary care practices, which operate during business hours with very limited night or weekend obligations. Call responsibilities are limited to rotating phone support, and inpatient services are managed by the hospitalist group, although candidates have the option to follow their own inpatients if desired. Our practice utilizes the GE Centricity EMR platform, which is integrated with the hospital system, and we are currently in the process of seeking level III medical home certification. Honesdale is situated in the breathtaking Northern Pocono Mountain region, offering a variety of outdoor activities such as boating, hiking, skiing, and golf. The town is conveniently located within a two-hour drive from New York City and less than three hours from Philadelphia. Our health center is deeply integrated into the community, which is known for being a safe place to live and raise a family. The public schools in the area are among the best in the state, and Honesdale boasts a rich array of amenities, including a vibrant social and cultural scene. The community is home to the headquarters of The Himalayan Institute, an international yoga and wellness retreat, and features a charming main street with fine jewelers, upscale shops, farm-to-table dining, and micro-breweries.
