JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Family Medicine / Internal Medicine / Geriatrician – Physician • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Middlebury, VT • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 05/04/2026 – 08/31/2026 • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00a – 5:00p COVERAGE DATES • Start date: May 4, 2026 • End date: August 31, 2026 PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Geriatric population • Patient Volume/Census: 8–12 patients per day • Admissions: Long-term care admissions as assigned • Rounding: Included • Case Mix: Chronic disease management and geriatric care FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 98-bed long term care facility • Office Equipment Available: Standard long term care clinical resources • Support Staff Available: Nursing and facility care team • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental locum coverage COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active medical license required • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics • Experience: Experience in geriatric or long term care setting preferred • Other Qualifications: Comfortable managing geriatric patients in a long term care environment DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide comprehensive medical care to residents in a long term care facility • Conduct daily rounds and manage chronic medical conditions • Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary care teams • Document patient encounters accurately and timely • Participate in care planning and coordination for geriatric patients
Requirements
- Active medical license required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics
- Comfortable managing geriatric patients in a long term care environment
