About The Position

WVU United Hospital Center’s Family Medicine Residency in Bridgeport, WV seeks a board-certified Family Medicine physician to join a well-established residency program. The UHC residency program has been accredited since 1975 and added osteopathic accreditation in 1991. This additional faculty member will join six other full-time faculty physicians in continuing the commitment to education and patient care that has been a hallmark of United Hospital Center for over 40 years. Bridgeport is an economically strong and vibrant community, as it is home to government and private enterprises that includes the FBI, energy, aerospace and health care. Located less than two hours south of Pittsburgh, PA, and within easy driving distance of several mid-Atlantic and Midwest cities, Bridgeport offers residents the best of small-town America with one of the top ranked high schools in the state. This North Central West Virginia community offers ease of access to incredible recreational opportunities, with West Virginia earning accolades from Condé Nast Traveler and Time magazine as one of the best places to travel.
