About The Position

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio, Inc. (RMHC NEO) is currently seeking a highly motivated individual who possesses passion, compassion, and dedication as a part-time Family Meal Program Coordinator for the Cleveland Ronald McDonald House to support the efforts of the RMHC NEO organization. The Family Meal Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting with managing the Family Meal Program at the organization. This position also prepares meals. This part-time position would require the following schedule - - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (4 days) – 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. – For a total of 16 hours per week The Family Meal Program Coordinator reports to the Family Meal Program Manager and works in collaboration with RMHC NEO staff and volunteers to provide excellent service to guests and visitors and advance the mission of RMHC NEO. In the spirit of teamwork, this individual interacts in collaboration with RMHC NEO staff and volunteers to provide support and assistance in the fulfillment of their goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One or more years of experience in a cooking or restaurant position.
  • Must have competent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to provide instructions to others.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of constituents (families, volunteers, donors, staff) while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Strong customer service/hospitality focus.

Nice To Haves

  • ServSafe certification preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the activities of this position are consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of the organization.
  • Assists Family Meal Program Manager with menu planning, inventory, and food/kitchen supply orders.
  • Cleans and organizes the kitchen and food supplies.
  • Assists Family Meal Program Manager with groups and meal preparation.
  • Ensures proper food safety procedures are followed.
  • Cleans kitchen and serving areas after meals and stores leftover food.
  • Assists with intake and storage of food and other wish list donations.
  • Creates and maintains a comfortable environment that encourages family cooperation and a home-like atmosphere.
  • Attends trainings and meetings as requested.
  • Establishes priorities for managing own work while staying on a focused, efficient path for achieving results.
  • Acts as organizational ambassador and presents a positive image of RMHC NEO.
