You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations, such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues, such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent courtroom presence and legal writing skills
- Strong communication and client relationship abilities
- Confidence under pressure and compassion for people in crisis
- Willingness to work independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with Family Law is preferred
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law hearings, mediations, and trials
- Draft motions, pleadings, settlement agreements, and final orders
- Guide clients through complex legal and emotional situations
- Collaborate with paralegals and senior attorneys on case strategy
- Oversee case files, track progress, and manage deadlines
- Communicate regularly with clients and opposing counsel
- Occasional travel required across WV and OH
