About The Position

Our esteemed law office is currently seeking a seasoned Family Law Associate Attorney to join our hybrid/remote team based in Fayetteville, GA, USA. Responsibilities on a day-to-day basis will involve offering legal advice to clients, conducting legal research, creating and preparing legal documents, representing clients in court, and ensuring all client records are current. Requirements

  • Must have a Georgia bar license in good standing
  • At least 5 years of practicing as an attorney in Georgia family law is required; probate experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are required to work with all levels of clients, staff members, and other attorneys

  • Able to work through a case from open to close

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of other attorneys
  • Prepare and/or edit legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
  • Conduct client case assessments
  • Assist clients in determining the proper solutions to legal conflicts and determining the best course of action
  • Represent clients in court appearances
  • Supervise paralegal staff
  • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Collaborate with clients, senior associates, and other staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution
  • Learn and follow firm policies and procedures
  • Meet monthly billable hour requirements
