About The Position
East Tennessee State University's (ETSU) Center for Community Outreach is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a liaison for Families First (TANF) case managers in designated counties. This position will involve working closely with families to provide comprehensive assessments and screenings, addressing barriers to employment such as mental health, learning disabilities, child behavioral health issues, domestic violence, and substance abuse. The successful candidate will deliver intensive case management and counseling services, aimed at enhancing employability for Families First clients. Additionally, the role requires coordinating referrals to community agencies, facilitating groups focused on overcoming challenges, and collaborating with the Department of Human Services (DHS) to ensure comprehensive support for clients. The position also includes maintaining accurate and updated client files, preparing assessment packets, and managing confidential documentation.
