About The Position

Duties and Responsibilities: Identify and Engage Relatives: Locate, contact, and build relationships with family and fictive kin to create a network of care for children in foster care Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Gather and analyze family history, strengths, and resources to develop individualized plans that prioritize kinship connections and permanency Collaborate with Caseworkers and Community Partners: Work closely with child welfare staff to connect children in foster care to family Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field or minimum of a bachelor's degree in any related field and completion of required training programs or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • 2 years of experience in an assigned program area
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a BSW or MSW degree and a Commonwealth of Virginia Social Work License preferred
