About The Position

The Family Experience Associate, in collaboration with the Manager of Patient & Family Experience and the Family Resource Center, serves as a welcoming and supportive presence for families at Dayton Children’s Hospital. This role is dedicated to enhancing the overall family experience by offering hospitality, emotional support, programming, and access to resources during various stages of care, including appointments, surgeries/procedures, or hospitalization. The Associate is also responsible for engaging with families to collect feedback and insights, which are crucial for informing ongoing improvements to the hospital and the patient and family experience. Furthermore, the Associate plays a key role in ensuring that all family-facing spaces supported by the Patient Experience Department are welcoming, inclusive, and well-maintained, thereby upholding Dayton Children’s commitment to family-centered care.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • 2-4 years of experience in customer service, patient support, hospitality, or community engagement
  • Customer Service and hospitality skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or coursework in Customer Service, Healthcare, Social Services, Hospitality, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in patient experience, hospitality, family support services, social services, or community-based programming, preferably within a healthcare, pediatric, or nonprofit environment

Responsibilities
