About The Position

The Family & Community Engagement Coordinator at Chicago Youth Centers is responsible for managing, developing, and coordinating family services and community engagement initiatives for Early Learning programs. This role aims to enhance family involvement and ensure compliance with various standards while positively impacting the lives of children and families in the community.

Requirements

• BSW in Social Work or Bachelor's in a related field
• 3-4 years of social service and administrative experience
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, etc)

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the planning, development, and implementation of Parent, Family and Community Engagement plans in accordance with Head Start performance standards.
• Lead program functions related to family support and engagement services across all settings.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with funder requirements and pursue excellence in family support and engagement.
• Monitor compliance using COPA and other program database tools, identifying areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective strategies.
• Manage the agency community assessment process and review policies and procedures in assigned areas.
• Build formal and informal community relationships to support resource referral and service delivery.
• Oversee the implementation of the agency parent curriculum and monitor direct casework services to families.
