About The Position

Northwestern Counseling & Support Services is seeking a Family Assessment Specialist to join our Community Mental Health Services Division. In this intake-based role, you’ll be the first point of contact for children and families entering NCSS—welcoming them to our services, completing mental health assessments to guide treatment planning, and maintaining a small caseload of counseling clients. Most services are provided at our new Access Center in downtown St. Albans, with additional opportunities to connect via telehealth or in the client’s home.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a counseling-related field.
  • Licensed or licensure-eligible candidates are preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Early career therapists working toward licensure are welcome.

Responsibilities
