About The Position
The position involves teaching assigned classes at designated locations and times, developing a conducive classroom environment for effective learning, and maintaining standards of classroom behavior. The teacher is responsible for understanding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and relevant laws while demonstrating responsibility for student progress. Collaboration with prior grade or class teachers is essential to identify specific needs of each student and to implement appropriate instructional strategies. The teacher must also demonstrate knowledge of age-appropriate developmental and psychological needs, as well as the cognitive and affective needs of students from diverse backgrounds, including those in poverty and with special needs. The role includes preparing engaging and challenging instruction that aligns with academic standards, utilizing various assessment strategies to monitor student progress, and providing timely feedback.
