About The Position

Isabel's House seeks individuals dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect while providing a warm and loving home for children during their stay. The Family Advocate is a professional team member of Isabel's House. A Family Advocate has the primary responsibility of assessing family needs, planning, developing, and implementing an individualized treatment plan for each child and family and providing case management for families served by Isabel's House. Family Advocates work independently and collaboratively with all members of the Isabel's House team.

Requirements

  • A Master's Degree in social work (MSW) is required. A degree in psychology, counseling, sociology, criminology, or other human service field may be considered if the candidate has at least 4 years of experience in case management.
  • Must demonstrate excellence in organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Prioritize caseload and workload independently and appropriately.
  • Exercise sound judgement, critical thinking, personal responsibility, and problem-solving, while maintaining strict confidentiality standards.
  • Excellent computer skills required.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with residential care and/or with at-risk children preferred.
  • Knowledge of current community resources is preferred.
